Trailer released for Blumhouse horror comedy Totally Killer

The house of Blumhouse’s latest film is horror comedy Totally Killer, and the trailer for it has landed.

It’s been a busy year for Blumhouse, with the release of the fifth installment of the hugely popular Insidious franchise, The Red Door. October will see the release of both David Gordon Green’s The ExorcistBeliever and Emma Tammi’s Five Nights At Freddy’s, as well as The Passenger.

Their latest film is Totally Killer, the synopsis reads as follows:

Thirty-five years after the shocking murder of three teens, the infamous “Sweet Sixteen Killer” returns on Halloween night to claim a fourth victim. Seventeen-year-old Jamie (Kiernan Shipka) ignores her overprotective mom’s (Julie Bowen) warning and comes face-to-face with the masked maniac and, on the run for her life, accidentally time-travels to 1987, the year of the original killings. Forced to navigate the unfamiliar and outrageous culture of the 1980s, Jamie teams up with her teen mom (Olivia Holt) to take down the killer once and for all, before she’s stuck in the past forever.

Charlie Gillespie, Lochlyn Munro, Troy L. Johnson, Liana Liberato, Kelcey Mawema, Stephi Chin-Salvo, Anna Diaz, Ella Choi and Randall Park are also in the cast.

Nahnatchka Khan directs from a screenplay by David Matalon & Sasha Perl-Raver and Jen D’Angelo, with Matalon and Perl-Raver penning the story.

Totally Killer streams on Amazon Prime Video from the 6th October.
