Boxing biopic Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story Of The Once And Future Heavyweight Champion Of The World is on the way, here’s the trailer.

We’re only a few months away from the next chapter in the story of Adonis Creed in Creed 3, but that’s not the only boxing film on the way.

Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story Of The Once And Future Heavyweight Champion Of The World is, as the title suggests, a biopic of legendary heavyweight Big George Foreman, who won an Olympic medal in 1968 and is perhaps best known for taking the heavyweight title from mighty Joe Frazier in his prime. Quitting the sport after finding God, he later returned to boxing and reclaimed his title at the age of 45, the oldest to ever do it. There may also be one or two nods to his later success with the George Foreman grill.

Judas And The Black Messiah star Khris Davis takes on the title role, opposite Forest Whitaker as his trainer Doc Broadus. Jasmine Mathews, Sullivan Jones, Lawrence Gilliard Jr, John Magaro and Sonja Sohn also star.

George Tillman Jr. directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Frank Baldwin.

Big George Foreman is set to hit cinemas on the 28th April, watch the trailer below…
