Get a look at the upcoming basketball buddy comedy White Men Can’t Jump, ahead of its release next month.

Plans to remake the 1992 comedy drama White Men Can’t Jump have been in place for what seems like a long time now, with acclaimed music video director Calmatic being announced in late 2021 as the helmer of the project. The film is a reimagining of the esteemed 1990s comedy about two basketball hustlers who form an endearing bromance as they take on the streets of Los Angeles to eke out a living and make their mark.

Grammy-nominated rapper Jack Harlow and Sinqua Walls will be taking on the roles played by Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes in the original film and now we have a trailer to check out. What’s more, the film will be hitting Disney+ on May 19th, in less than a month’s time, the same day it launches on the Hulu streaming platform in the US.

Calmatic spoke earlier this year about what will change in the remake, alongside which elements of the original we can expect to revisit. “We’re flippin’ it. We’ve got a whole new story, whole new approach, whole new tempo, whole new rhythm, but it’s gonna be something that everyone can enjoy. I can’t wait for the world to see that one. I think that’s gonna be great, as well.”

You’ll be able to judge for yourself when the film releases next month but the trailer certainly has a few fun moments, which you can check out below.
