Catch 150 films at the London Breeze Film Festival this October. We’ve got a trailer and details of what’s on here.
The BFI London Film Festival will be dominating the headlines for next few weeks and will once again feature an impressive array of films from some of the biggest filmmakers working in Hollywood today.
But October is also home for another event dedicated to showcasing new cinema: the London Breeze Film Festival.
The fest is committed to championing new, emerging voices in the independent cinema landscape. Launched originally as the Barnes Film Festival, it celebrates its tenth anniversary this year – and the line-up looks pretty stellar, as shown in their official festival trailer.
Take a look below:
The festival runs from 22nd to 26th October across London, but if you’re not a Londoner and can’t make it in person, the festival also has an extensive online platform which will feature 66 films to stream. It’ll also stay live for a few days after the festival wraps up.
London Breeze Film Festival also showcases a number of short films. It’s a great opportunity to catch the early works of the directors of tomorrow. You never know where the next great auteur might come from.
“The tenth edition marks a real milestone for the London Breeze team who have worked tirelessly to get us to the position we are in,” said festival executive director Sam Cullis in a statement. “The strength of this year’s film selection and industry programme mark a real turning point for us – we are proud to be showcasing some of the most exciting new voices in cinema that put us firmly on course to becoming BAFTA qualifying in the near future. Our new ambassadors reflect the diversity, ambition and creativity that drive the festival, amplifying underrepresented voices and shaping the next chapter of our growth. We welcome them with open arms, as we do you as we invite you to celebrate our anniversary festival with us in October.”
