Trailer arrives for Happily, a dark romantic comedy coming in March

Offering something of a different spin on the romantic comedy genre, here’s the trailer for the upcoming Happily.

Billed as a ‘dark romantic comedy’, Happily is an intriguing sounding movie. The film seems to start out with the lead characters, played by Joel McHale and Kerry Bishé, being very much in love. However, their friends decide that perhaps the couple are too into each other and as such, take the opportunity to test their relationships in ways that seem increasingly twisted. We won’t mention them here, but the trailer is definitely worth a look.

Happily is directed by BenDavid Grabinski who wrote the scripts for Are You Afraid Of The Dark? Happily marks the director’s feature debut and is set to be released by Saban Films on March 19th in the US, although no release date has yet been set here in the UK.

The film, which was originally set to debut all the way back in 2020 at the Tribeca Film Festival, also co-stars Paul Scheer, Breckin Meyer, Natalie Zea, Natalie Morales, Shannon Woodward, Charlyne Yi, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Stephen Root. It’s produced by Jack Black.

You can catch the trailer below, ahead of the film’s release. When we hear a UK release date, we’ll let you know.
