Amazon Studios have launched a trailer for its highly-anticipated release of One Night in Miami, which is scheduled to land on its Prime Video service on January 15th after a brief theatrical run. Already an early tip for awards success, the film is directed by Regina King, star of the recent Watchmen HBO series. The film takes place over one night, February 25th, 1064. Cassius Clay, who will one day be named Muhammad Ali, has just won the boxing world championship. He spends the subsequent night in a motel with three of his friends, the political activist, Malcom X, singer Sam Cooke and football star Jim Brown. Together, their conversations through the night have the potential to redefine their world. Starring Eli Goree, Kingsley Ben Adair, Lesley Odom Jr. and Aldis Hodge, the film marks King’s directorial debut and is reportedly one to look out for.
