Natasha Lyonne joins the star-studded cast of Marvel’s The Fantastic Four. More details below.
It’s been barely a week since we learned that Ralph Ineson would be taking on the role of Galactus in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, more specifically in the upcoming The Fantastic Four.
Now, Variety reports that Natasha Lyonne is also joining the cast, in an undisclosed role. Lyonne is best known for starring in Netflix’s Russian Doll, Orange Is The New Black and Rian Johnson’s Poker Face.
The Fantastic Four stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Incredible, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/the Thing.
Also joining the film are Julia Garner as The Silver Surfer and Paul Walter Hauser in another secret role, although fans seem to think he might be playing Mole Man.
The Fantastic Four, or Marvel’s First Family, have proven difficult to adapt to the big screen. The early-2000s films are cheesy at best and Josh Trank’s 2015 adaptation features some nifty shades of a body horror film, but ultimately became a victim of its own ambition.
The Fantastic Four is shooting this summer with a summer 2025 release date in mind. Matt Shakman is directing the film from a script by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.
