Well, it might not have set the box office alight, and it might have got some of the grimmest reviews of big screen Star Wars movies, but Disney isn’t going shy when it comes to the home release of Star Wars: The Mandalorian And Grogu. No intention of grumbling about that, either.
The film, directed by Jon Favreau, had already landed on premium video on demand services (unlike fellow summer blockbuster Masters Of The Universe, which is skipping that bit and jumping straight to streaming.) It’s also likely to be on Disney+ by the autumn.
However, it’s also getting a full disc release, across several formats.
The UK release date has been confirmed as 28th September 2026 for the discs, and the listings are live now.

If your bank balance is looking handsome at the moment, you may also be tempted by the Beskar Collector’s Edition. This is going for a princely £150, and for that kind of money you get the film, two metal posters, Steelbook casing and, I’d like to think, a cheque for £100 or so. But no, £150 is the price.
