Humans have become the prey in the new Planet of the Apes sequel. Check out the full Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes trailer.

After a brief teaser in November, we now have the full, two-and-a-half minute trailer for the upcoming Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes

Wes Ball’s film is set hundreds of years after War For The Planet Of The Apes, which was released back in 2017.

Take a look at the Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes trailer.

It feels like we are inching closer to the dystopian ape society of the original Planet Of The Apes as we see a clear hierarchy within the apes and of course, humans have now become completely feral and prey for the apes.

The cast for the film includes Owen Teague as Noa, the film’s protagonist, while Kevin Durand plays Proximus Caesar, a bonobo leader (and the film’s villain) who seeks to harness old human technology. Freya Allan, William H. Macy and Peter Macon also star.

Allan, who was last seen in the horror film Baghead, plays a human who forges a connection with Noa. She seems to be more intelligent than most humans, making her a threat for Proximus Caesar. At the end of War For The Planet Of The Apes, it was revealed that a Simian Flu has made most humans mute as well as turn them into nothing but primitive animals, which explains their condition in the new film.

Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes is scheduled to be released on 10th May, alongside Garfield and Furiosa, creating quite the triple bill. Forget Barbenheimer, it’s all about Furiosa’s Kingdom Of The Garfied. (It sounded better in our heads.)

Here’s the official synopsis Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes: Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.

You can catch Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes in cinemas from 10th May.
